Without volunteers, the Hermit Park State School P&C Association would not exist. Volunteering for the P&C is a great way to meet new people and help out around the school. It doesn't have to be long, arduous, or very often – every bit helps.
The Hermit Park State School P&C is very active in the school community, hosting community and fundraising events throughout the year. Some of the projects that our fundraising has supported are the covered entry on Sussex Street, Outside School Hours Care purpose-built facility, green space and fencing near the hall, and the deck and front entry of the Early Years Campus. The P&C also run the Outside School Hours Care service and Uniform Shop, so we appreciate any time that people can find to volunteer with us.
Consider lending a hand when needed for specific projects or events, such as for the HPSS annual 'Big Breakfast' or 'Trivia Night'. Uniform Shop volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Alternatively, maybe you have a specific skill or trade that could be of service to the P&C and you are happy to donate your time and skills to a certain project.
If you would like to help out in any way, we encourage you to make contact with the P&C (pandc@hermitparkss.eq.edu.au) and let us know what you have to offer or be placed on our volunteer email list. We post upcoming events in the school newsletter and Facebook site, with a Sign-up link that makes it easy for you to pop your name in for the times you have available.
