At Hermit Park State School students from year 2 to year 6 study French. Lessons are held weekly with formal assessment of the language taking place in all years.
The aim of the Languages Other Than English (LOTE) program is to enable students to undertake basic communication in both oral and written forms, and to gain some understanding of the similarities and differences between this culture and our own. The study of languages other than our own can also help students gain some understanding of their place in our global community.
